JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinate referrals from Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Systems to other health care providers for patient care that is not performed at the Health Center. Referrals are made to providers such as physicians, diagnostic facilities, radiology, laboratories, and hospitals.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  2. Experience with pre-authorization process for 3rd Party payers.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Receive referrals/requests from providers through the EHR and schedule outside care as indicated.
  2. Provide information to patients regarding referral provider name, address and phone number to allow patients to call to schedule appointment. Acquire pertinent records, labs, x-rays, diagnostic tests and health summaries related to the patient’s current condition from the medical records; forward information to the specialist or facility involved.
  3. Enter referral data, and insurance information into EHR..
  4. Track all referrals sent out to ensure completion of care and receipt of related documentation using SQL reports. .
  5. Maintain all required data in the EHR to comply with clinic, state and federal mandates.
  6. Request medical records/other additional information from outside healthcare facilities.
  7. Respond to authorized requests for information by outside healthcare facilities
  8. Receive outside records and scan to appropriate EHR patient file.
  9. Scan all ‘in house’ forms and documents to the appropriate EHR patient file.
  10. Track all stored historical paper charts and shred as per policy as they time out. Perform other related duties as needed.

The Behavioral Health Program Supervisor is responsible for the operational, clinical, and administrative leadership of the Behavioral Health Support Team, working in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Director. Accountant I – Accounts Payable Specialist

The Redding Rancheria is seeking an Accountant I – Accounts Payable Specialist. The preferred schedule for this position will be discussed upon an employment offer.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Controller this position performs a variety of accounting support functions for the Redding Rancheria Tribal Government Finance Department. Directly responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all account payable invoices, reviewing invoices and requisitions for accuracy and within policy and procedures. Interacts with staff, Tribal Members, and vendors on a daily basis for the Redding Rancheria and serves as the primary backup to the Accountant I-Purchasing Specialist.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 2 year degree in accounting or a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar accounting positions.
  2. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  3. Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Perform any of the following accounting tasks: accounts payable, purchasing and procurement.

2. Follows up with Managers on unapproved invoices and/or errors to avoid late payments

3. Reviews vendor contracts and follows payment guidelines.

4. Responsible for contacting vendors for missing invoices and correcting errors.

5. Works with Purchasing Specialist to provide missing information, including receiving documents as needed

6. Manages, reconciles, and processes account and credit card orders for goods and services through phone, email, and internet order as requested by receipt of approved purchase order

7. Reconciles Purchasing credit card monthly

8. Monitors, responds, and takes action on communication emailed to ap@reddingrancheria-nsn.gov and purchasing@reddingrancheria-nsn.gov in Purchasing Specialist absence.

9. Date stamps and reviews all purchase orders and attached invoices for completion, including appropriate account coding, proper signing authority, and dollar amount approved for the Redding Rancheria in the absence of Purchasing Specialist

10. Researches and/or obtains best pricing for products requested on purchase orders in the absence of Purchasing Specialist

11. Works with purchase order requester to ensure appropriate items, quantities, and shipment terms are met in absence of Purchasing Specialist

12. Maintains credit card checking out process and pre-paid voucher files in the absence of Purchasing Specialist

13. Reviews voucher cover sheet by checking vendor, coding, amount, accounting period, 1099 details, remit address, and payment terms to be sure all information is accurately recorded. Makes corrections as needed

14. Maintains general office supply inventory and performs monthly inventory of supplies on hand

15. Assist with all Departmental needs in reference to filing and scanning documents

16. Compile and sort documentation

17. Verify and prepare working papers to support the details of business transactions.

18. Ensure proper accounting in accordance with the established policies and procedures.

19. Perform accurate and timely processing.

20. Communicate with others in the department.

21. Apply analytical skills and maintain organization.

22. Proficiency with various office equipment and applications.

23. Support other functions within the department as needed.

24. Manage confidential information in a secure, discreet and professional manner.

Maintenance Technician

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides Journey Level maintenance for all Tribal facilities, in a variety of areas.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, project management and/or building trades.
  2. Valid California Driver’s license.
  3. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  4. Must be fingerprinted and submit to background screening.

Certified Professional Coder/Biller

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform all coding relating to Medical, Dental and accounts receivable. Coding for diagnosis, procedures and services performed by providers of the clinic. Audit for accuracy of billing for all 3rd Party Payers, Medi-Cal (including Medi-Cal, Share of Cost) Medicare and Private Insurance meeting all payer, state and federal regulations.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have current experience in Medical and/or Dental.
  2. Certified Professional Coder
  3. BS in Health Care Administration or equivalent years Coding/Billing experience
  4. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  5. Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Ensure coding, insurance and Alternate Resource Information is complete, current and determine eligibility.
  2. Read patient chart notes to verify correct CPT and/or CDT codes and ICD10 diagnosis codes. Communicate with providers to ensure timely completion of charting.
  3. Set claims to bill and communicate with RCM to ensure timely uploading of claim files to the clearinghouse.
  4. Assist Billing Manager and IT in monitoring fee schedules and recommend revisions when necessary.
  5. Audit Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Dental Records (EDR) for appropriate supporting documentation and medical necessity of documentation compared to charges.
  6. Determine accurate codes for diagnosis, procedures and services performed by Physicians and recognized nonphysician providers in a physician-based setting. (These services may include evaluation and management services as well as reviewing operative notes).
  7. Keep current with medical compliance and reimbursement policies, such as medical necessity issues and correct coding issues.
  8. Providing physicians and staff with up-to-date coding information from reliable, accurate sources, such as specific payers, the AMA, AHA, ADA’s Coding Clinics and CMS.
  9. Communicate with admissions to ensure insurance and demographic information is correct.
  10. Communicate with Quality team to ensure documentation is meeting quality measures.
  11. Complete follow-up tasks of unpaid claims and research denials.
  12. Research proposed new procedures for coding and billing requirements as well as FQHC rules and regulations, update staff on findings.
  13. Run aging reports for all insurance categories, including no insurance, to ensure proper payments and RCM write offs.
