Redding Rancheria Community Education Fund (RRCEF)
Education Assistance Program
Supplemental assistance up to $300 per calendar year is provided to help adult students attend college, university or trade school. Each student may submit one request per calendar year. The funds may be used for reimbursement or paid directly to the school or vendor for tuition, books or other required materials. You must have a C (70%) or better to receive funds.
Requirements
- Native American (Federally or non Federally recognized)
- Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area(see service area defined below)
- Photo ID

Native American Education Scholarship SPRING/SUMMER/FALL
The Native American Education Scholarship provides funding for Native American students currently enrolled at a college, university or trade school. It provides (5) recipients with a financial award up to $500 towards tuition, books and other school related costs.
Requirements
- Native American (Federally or non-Federally recognized)
- are residents of the Redding Rancheria service area (defined at the bottom of this page)
- are currently enrolled at a qualified institution as defined by the RRCEF. Qualified institutions are regionally accredited, are nonprofit, offer the majority of their classes at a physical campus within the United States, and disburse Federal Student Aid.
- have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.0
**Students will be notified via email, postal mail or phone regarding Selection Process.
Youth Native American High School Education Scholarship – FALL 2024
The Native American High School Education Scholarship will provide funding for (2) Native American High School Seniors with a scholarship of $500 each towards attending trade school, college, or university for the Summer 2024/Fall 2024 semesters.
Requirements
- Native American (Federally recognized)
- Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area(see service area defined below)
- Be enrolled full time in trade school, college, university for Summer 2024/Fall 2024 that is a qualified institution as defined by the RRCEF
- Have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.0

Johnson O’Mally (JOM) Program – (School Supplies)
The Johnson O’Malley Program provides funding for Native American Youth, who require assistance with purchasing school supplies.
Requirements
- Student must be an enrolled member of Federally Recognized Native American Tribe only
- Address in the Redding Rancheria Service Area(see service area defined below)
- School aged (3 years to 17 years)
- Preschool to 12th grade (preschool must submit proof of enrollment)

- Until cards are gone
Service Area is defined as
All of Trinity County, from and including the City of Redding to the Siskiyou County line, from and including the City of Redding to the Tehama county line, including Cottonwood and those with Cottonwood addresses, from and including the City of Redding and the Trinity County line, from and including the city of Redding to Round Mountain and all of those with Round Mountain addresses, and from the city of Redding to Shingletown and all those with Shingletown addresses.
