The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Medical Records Technician I. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintain and protect patient medical records in accordance with clinic policies and guidelines for patient confidentiality.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Prefer medical records experience to include numerical chart filing, lab and x-ray disposition. Must have professional phone courtesy.
  2. Prefer current understanding of ICD-10 Coding & interpretation. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Audit patient documentation, and signature of all paperwork from all departments.
  2. Scan and file (PAQ) all laboratory, radiology, consultation, etc. and other pertinent medical records for review and signature.

  9. Detailed record keeping on permitted disclosures.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the review and audit of all prepared accounts payable batches and preparation and review of general ledger journal entries. Under the supervision of the Controller this position performs a variety of accounting support functions for the Redding Rancheria Tribal Government Finance Department. Directly responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all account payable invoices, reviewing invoices and requisitions for accuracy and within policy and procedures. Interacts with staff, Tribal Members, and vendors on a daily basis for the Redding Rancheria and serves as the primary backup to the Accountant I-Purchasing Specialist.

  7. Keep current with medical compliance and reimbursement policies, such as medical necessity issues and correct coding issues.
  8. Providing physicians and staff with up-to-date coding information from reliable, accurate sources, such as specific payers, the AMA, AHA, ADA’s Coding Clinics and CMS.
  9. Communicate with admissions to ensure insurance and demographic information is correct.
  10. Communicate with Quality team to ensure documentation is meeting quality measures.
  11. Complete follow-up tasks of unpaid claims and research denials.
  12. Research proposed new procedures for coding and billing requirements as well as FQHC rules and regulations, update staff on findings.
  13. Run aging reports for all insurance categories, including no insurance, to ensure proper payments and RCM write offs.

Acquire pertinent records, labs, x-rays, diagnostic tests and health summaries related to the patient’s current condition from the medical records; forward information to the specialist or facility involved.
  3. Enter referral data, and insurance information into EHR..
  4. Track all referrals sent out to ensure completion of care and receipt of related documentation using SQL reports. .

  6. Request medical records/other additional information from outside healthcare facilities.

Medical Scribe

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Medical Scribe. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, four 10 hour shifts.

BASIC JOB PURPOSE/FUNCTION:

Medical Scribes are individuals trained in medical documentation who assist a provider throughout their shift. The primary goal is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician. It will be the responsibility of the Medical Scribe to annotate any dictated or written information for the treatment of patients following all local, state, and federal guidelines for documentation into the electronic health record system. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for clearly recording each patient’s symptoms, history, physical exam, sending referrals, ordering labs, ordering x-rays, and documenting the diagnosis. This position will have no direct involvement in patient care, but has an interdepartmental role in assisting nursing and front office staff.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. One year of experience in a healthcare field preferred or minimum 2 year of college education with Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology coursework/degree.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. The primary role of the Medical Scribe is to assist the clinician with documentation of each patient’s medical chart during his or her visit.
  2. Accompanies the clinician into the patient examination area in order to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and physician.
  3. Documents any procedures performed by the clinician or nurses and printing the consent forms prior to the procedure, on the electronic medical chart.
  4.  Is an expert in the use of various templates and documentation techniques available in the EHR system, and use these tools efficiently so individual encounters can be well documented, as well as accurately congregate data collected for statistical reports.
  5. Transcribes any consultations or discussions with family members and/or the clinician. Completes the patient’s chart by transcribing results of any labs, x-rays, or other evaluations. In doing so, the scribe continuously checks on the progress of this data in order to get the patient’s workup complete so that the clinician is able to make his or her decisions regarding that patient. Lists all proper diagnoses as well as any follow up instructions and prescriptions, as dictated by the clinician.
  6. The Medical Scribe is to order labs and order x-rays, with knowing how to add the patient to the x-ray schedule.
  7. Transcribe referrals during the visit while sending it to the correct specialty.
  8. Generating notes, excusal letters, and any other forms the clinician requires; in so being able to navigate the document library.
  9. The Medical Scribe is to know how to schedule a patient for future visits.
  10. The Medical Scribe is to be able to look up insurance, in assisting the front staff.
  11. The Medical Scribe is to aide in management of QIP measures.
  12. Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
  13. Ensures medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

To monitor and oversee all aspects of Gaming for Win- River Resort and Casino. Report all findings of violations of SOPs, Laws, MICs, TICS, Ordinances or Title 31 issues to Surveillance Management/Lead Surveillance Agent with any evidence and a report.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED; or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
