JOB SUMMARY:

The Computer Technician’s role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. Community Health Data Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing all grant data including data collection, analysis, reporting, validation, and maintenance.  Coordinates annual audits for IHS grant reporting.  Support Diabetes Program by targeting patients with advanced data analytics, developing health outcome reports for the entire diabetic patient population, and identifying trends in patient health data. Provides patient education, coordinates outreach activities, and performs a wide number of administrative duties.

  9. Coordinate and run monthly Focus Group meetings for diabetic patients. Ensure proper event setup, coordinate food for event, and purchase supplies as needed. Coordinate and assist with Community Health events such as Mildred Rhoades Diabetes Prevention Walk, Kid’s Camp, and Annual Group Diabetic Clinics. Conduct patient outreach at aforementioned events to advertise for the services and classes offered by Community Health.
  10. Assist in developing program and diabetes education materials.
  11. Perform diabetic retinal screenings as a Certified Retinal Photographer through EyePACS.
  12. Maintain certification and keep up-to-date on latest non-mydriatic retinal camera hardware and techniques.

Acquire pertinent records, labs, x-rays, diagnostic tests and health summaries related to the patient’s current condition from the medical records; forward information to the specialist or facility involved.
  3. Enter referral data, and insurance information into EHR..

Medical Scribe

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Medical Scribe. The preferred schedule for this position is full-time and 4 ,10 hour shifts.

BASIC JOB PURPOSE/FUNCTION:

Medical Scribes are individuals trained in medical documentation who assist a provider throughout their shift. The primary goal is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician. It will be the responsibility of the Medical Scribe to annotate any dictated or written information for the treatment of patients following all local, state, and federal guidelines for documentation into the electronic health record system. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for clearly recording each patient’s symptoms, history, physical exam, sending referrals, ordering labs, ordering x-rays, and documenting the diagnosis. This position will have no direct involvement in patient care, but has an interdepartmental role in assisting nursing and front office staff.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. One year of experience in a healthcare field preferred or minimum 2 year of college education with Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology coursework/degree.

  1. The primary role of the Medical Scribe is to assist the clinician with documentation of each patient’s medical chart during his or her visit.

  3. Documents any procedures performed by the clinician or nurses and printing the consent forms prior to the procedure, on the electronic medical chart.
  4.  Is an expert in the use of various templates and documentation techniques available in the EHR system, and use these tools efficiently so individual encounters can be well documented, as well as accurately congregate data collected for statistical reports.
  5. Transcribes any consultations or discussions with family members and/or the clinician. Completes the patient’s chart by transcribing results of any labs, x-rays, or other evaluations. In doing so, the scribe continuously checks on the progress of this data in order to get the patient’s workup complete so that the clinician is able to make his or her decisions regarding that patient. Lists all proper diagnoses as well as any follow up instructions and prescriptions, as dictated by the clinician.
  6. The Medical Scribe is to order labs and order x-rays, with knowing how to add the patient to the x-ray schedule.
  7. Transcribe referrals during the visit while sending it to the correct specialty.
  8. Generating notes, excusal letters, and any other forms the clinician requires; in so being able to navigate the document library.
  9. The Medical Scribe is to know how to schedule a patient for future visits.
  10. The Medical Scribe is to be able to look up insurance, in assisting the front staff.
  11. The Medical Scribe is to aide in management of QIP measures.
  12. Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

Medication Transporter

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Medication Transporter. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday- Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy this position: Packages medication for mailing and delivery, as well as, delivers medications to eligible patients within a 30 mile radius of the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record and be insurable by Redding Rancheria’s insurance company.
  2. Must complete the following within one month of hire; Certified GSA Driver Training.
  3. Must complete tuberculosis test.
  4. Must be fingerprinted and pass background investigation.
  5. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  6. Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Keep detailed daily records on mileage in an Excel Spreadsheet for government reimbursement.
  2. At the end of each day, complete a daily log on the computer of all times, mileage and destinations of the patients transported.
  3. Maintain government vehicle cleanliness inside and out for weekly inspections.
  4. Take government vehicle for any needed maintenance as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Procedures.
  5. Package medications for both mail and delivery
  6. Use of cash registers at point of sale
  7. Use computer to purchase postage for mailed medications

Maintenance Technician

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday- Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides Journey Level maintenance for all Tribal facilities, in a variety of areas.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, project management and/or building trades.

  1. Provide preventive maintenance on all Tribal facilities, to include:

Quality Improvement Specialist

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Quality Improvement Manager works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System (RRTHS) patient population receives quality patient care. The QI coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the organization wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation core standards.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. State RN licensure or Certification in a healthcare field – Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  2. Healthcare Quality experience, working with IHS, AAAHC, Partnership, HEDIS and GPRA strongly desired.
  3. Experience working in a clinic setting and a demonstrated commitment to improving quality care for patients within RRTHS.
  4. Proficient in Word processing, spreadsheets, database and typing required.
  5. Experience manipulating and analyzing data with a focus on detail and organizational skills.
  6. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and conducting chart reviews.
  7. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Must be able to communicate with medical staff effectively.
  8. Must be able to multi-task- handle multiple cases, directions, projects and ability to complete the follow-through.
  9. Uses time effectively and constructively. Does not abuse supplies, equipment, and service.
  10. Excellent interpersonal skills with exceptional professional work ethics consistent with RR guiding values.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Serves as the Quality Improvement Coordinator for the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System (RRTHS).
  2. Performs ongoing monitoring of QI measures and identifies areas of opportunity in data quality and clinical, non-clinical and operational performance.
  3. In collaboration with QI committee and under the direction of the Quality Improvement Manager develops, implements and monitors QI activities/campaigns for RRTHS.
  4. Develops business cases for identified QI ideas or projects and presents to the quality team.
  5. Works with clinical staff to optimize use of the EHR to ensure data quality.
  6. Coordinates new and existing employee trainings with the training department and managers related to quality initiatives, under the direction of the QI Manager and/or assigned Director.
  7. Develops and conducts outreach with patients for preventative health and compliance with core standards and quality goals.
  8. Performs concurrent and retrospective case reviews.
  9. Conducts chart reviews, screenings and peer reviews to assess strengths, challenges and barriers to compliance, evaluates this data and determines best outreach strategy.
  10. Provide patient education during outreach calls as it relates to quality improvement activities (which may include, but not limited to: Encourage compliance with preventative and chronic disease management services; provide reminders to patients on upcoming preventive health screening appointments; educate patients on the importance of routine health visits).
  11. Assist with QI team meetings- may include organizing meeting agendas, meeting minutes and other necessary documentation as assigned.
  12. Analyze data collected for Performance Improvement initiatives, tracks, trends, and prepares information to submit to appropriate committees.
  13. Attends and facilitates quality topics at different all staff meetings, department meetings and QI committee meetings as assigned under the direction of assigned supervisor/director.
  14. Works in collaboration with the clinical staff, training department and health clinic supervisors to monitor quality related project implementation and monitoring. Guidance provided by the QI Director/Manager.
  15. Perform other QI duties as assigned as it relates to regulatory agency guidelines and accreditation core standards.
