The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Gaming Information Systems Engineer. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Gaming Information Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining surveillance and gaming systems within the Tribal Gaming Agency. This role focuses on ensuring the security, integrity, and efficiency of systems to support regulatory compliance. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, integrate, and optimize surveillance technologies to enhance the overall safety and performance of the Gaming Department’s environment while adhering to Tribal Regulations and industry standards.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science OR five to ten years of network and systems experience.
- Minimum one year Low Voltage, Surveillance Technical, Information Technology or related experience required.
- Knowledge of the utilization, operation and care of computer and related electronic data processing equipment.
- Knowledge of general principles of computer systems operation, including potential uses and limitations. Considerable knowledge of PC operations, networks and software.
- Knowledge of all laws and regulations related to Gaming industry and surveillance, as well as Tribal policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Class II and III gaming operations.
- Algebraic math skills and analytical problem solving skills.
- Ability to supervise the operation of computers and related equipment.
- Must have the ability to effectively follow direction Ability to configure IP Cameras as well as Coax Cameras.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from users of network.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, other employees and vendors. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You will need to be able to analyze complex systems and identify the root cause of problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to climb stairs often, and stand for long hours.
- Position is subject to working with lift trucks for extended periods of time with the installation of surveillance equipment requiring the use of appropriate tools requiring manual dexterity.
- Must have auditory ability to hear alarms, radio traffic and telephone communications.
- Frequently walks and reaches above/below shoulder level.
- Occasionally bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb heights, crouch, kneel, and push, pull.
- Frequently lifts/carries up to ten (10) pounds is required.
- Occasionally lift/carries up to 50 (50) pounds is required.
- This individual must be able to meet the suitability requirements of the Redding Rancheria’s Gaming Agency to obtain a gaming license.
- Ability to learn and operate Closed Circuit Television System.
- Requires a person with the utmost integrity, and one that has no hesitation in reporting what he/she observes, no matter what the circumstances.
- Under no circumstances, will any employee of the Surveillance Department be permitted to gamble, of any sort, in Redding Rancheria’s Win-River Casino or on the Redding Rancheria.
- Must be 21 years of age.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide support on servers, including e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
2. Provide support on security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
3. Support all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.
4. Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
5. Recommend equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
6. Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
7. Perform server and security audits, system backups and recovery.
8. Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
9. Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data-owners and department managers.
10. Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
11. Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
12. Provide technical user support and training as needed.
13. Conduct investigation/reviews for Casino Management, Surveillance Manager, and Executive Gaming Director.
14. Assist in planning and execution of management’s projects.
15. Responsible for emergency calls when scheduled or needed.
16. Responsible to maintain confidentiality of Win-River Resort and Casino operations.
17. Supports Surveillance staff when needed.
18. Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
19. Provide technical user support and training as needed.
20. Monitors and tests system performance; prepares and delivers system performance statistics and reports
21. Gauges the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
22. All other duties assigned or needed by Gaming Commission, Executive Gaming Director, and Gaming Information Systems Manager.
