The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Temporary Medication Transporter. This position may work a maximum of 28 hours per week and is employed in a temporary capacity.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under direction of the Director of Pharmacy this position: Packages medication for mailing and delivery, as well as, delivers medications to eligible patients within a 30 mile radius of the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record and be insurable by Redding Rancheria’s insurance company.
  2. Must complete the following within one month of hire; Certified GSA Driver Training.
  3. Must complete tuberculosis test.
  4. Must be fingerprinted and pass background investigation.
  5. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  6. Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Keep detailed daily records on mileage in an Excel Spreadsheet for government reimbursement.
  2. At the end of each day, complete a daily log on the computer of all times, mileage and destinations of the patients transported.
  3. Maintain government vehicle cleanliness inside and out for weekly inspections.
  4. Take government vehicle for any needed maintenance as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Procedures.

Limited Scope X-Ray Technician/ Medical Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

The limited X-ray Technician performs diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages as directed by physician. Assumes responsibility for accuracy under the direction of the radiologist; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel. Assists health care providers in the delivery of outpatient health care to patients.

  1. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protects patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards.
  2. Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.
  3. Position patients and performs X-rays of specific parts of the patients’ body as ordered by the medical provider.
  4. Process film and performs visual inspection of image for exposure factors (contrast, density, etc.) to ensure technical quality of digital image.

Assist with the initial intake of patients to the health clinic, which includes verification of check-in procedures, review of medical screenings, timely rooming, obtaining vital signs of patients, confirms chief complaints/reason for visit; reviews patient medical history, allergies, medications and confirms information in Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Temporary Medical Scribe

JOB SUMMARY:

Medical Scribes are individuals trained in medical documentation who assist a provider throughout their shift. The primary goal is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician. It will be the responsibility of the Medical Scribe to annotate any dictated or written information for the treatment of patients following all local, state, and federal guidelines for documentation into the electronic health record system. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for clearly recording each patient’s symptoms, history, physical exam, sending referrals, ordering labs, ordering x-rays, and documenting the diagnosis. This position will have no direct involvement in patient care, but has an interdepartmental role in assisting nursing and front office staff.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year experience in healthcare field preferred or minimum 2 year of college education with Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology coursework/degree.

  1. The primary role of the Medical Scribe is to assist the clinician with documentation of each patient’s medical chart during his or her visit.
  2. Accompanies the clinician into the patient examination area in order to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and physician.
  3. Documents any procedures performed by the clinician or nurses and printing the consent forms prior to the procedure, on the electronic medical chart.
  4. Is an expert in the use of various templates and documentation techniques available in the EHR system, and use these tools efficiently so individual encounters can be well documented, as well as accurately congregate data collected for statistical reports.
  5. Transcribes any consultations or discussions with family members and/or the clinician. Completes the patient’s chart by transcribing results of any labs, x-rays, or other evaluations. In doing so, the scribe continuously checks on the progress of this data in order to get the patient’s workup complete so that the clinician is able to make his or her decisions regarding that patient. Lists all proper diagnoses as well as any follow up instructions and prescriptions, as dictated by the clinician.
  6. The Medical Scribe is to order labs and order x-rays, with knowing how to add the patient to the x-ray schedule.
  7. Transcribe referrals during the visit while sending it to the correct specialty.
  8. Generating notes, excusal letters, and any other forms the clinician requires; in so being able to navigate the document library.
  9. The Medical Scribe is to know how to schedule a patient for future visits.
  10. The Medical Scribe is to be able to look up insurance, in assisting the front staff.

Staff Pharmacist

JOB SUMMARY:

This individual will be responsible for providing quality pharmaceutical care five days a week in the Pharmacy Department retail setting. You will fill, verify, counsel and follow prescription protocols in accordance with the standards and practices mandated by the California Board of Pharmacy.

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
