  • Administers the COBRA continuation coverage program. Receives and processes COBRA continues payments, reports new enrollees, continues and terminations; audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for conducting new employee benefit orientation. Responsible for keeping orientation material current and effective on-going communication with new employee during their trial-service period.
  • Responsible for 401k plan sponsor activities. Ensures 401k employee records are accurate and current. Processes employee loans, hardships and distributions. Makes employee changes in Tribal payroll system in accordance with current retirement polices.
  • Assist Human Resources Department in annual performance and salary survey.
  • Designs and implements human resource processes as warranted to meet changing needs.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred AA degree with a business emphasis or 3 years’ experience in Human Resources field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Must be fingerprinted, submit to and pass background screening for FBI and State of California DOJ in order to be a certified finger print roller and have access to the background screening results
  • Attend adjudication training within 1 year of employment.
  • ADP certification within three years of employment.
  • E-verify certified within 6 months.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
