Redding Rancheria is seeking a Bus Monitor/Floater. This position assists ECE Teachers with the supervision of classroom and playground activities and field trips. Essential Job Duties
1. Program Substitute/ Floater
•Support the ECE Teaching Staff; does not have permanent classroom placement and schedule. Assignments vary from day to day depending on the needs of the program.

•Understands developmentally appropriate best practice for preschool children and their families.
•Be aware of the cognitive, social, and physical needs of children.

•Monitor children on the bus during transportation.
•Maintain transportation records as assigned
•Ensure the safe transportation of each child. Within ability, ensure safety of drop off and pick up sight. Informs Transportation Supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
•Must demonstrate genuine care, concern and affection for the children under his/her care.
•Ensure the safety of children at all times.
3. Cultivate and maintain a positive professional working relationship with parents, other family members and/or childcare givers. Encourage and facilitate regular two-way communication.
4. Attends workshops and training events as assigned.
5. Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
6. Understands and implements safety rules, emergency procedures, and established policies, etc.
7. As mandated, identify and report suspected child abuse to proper authorities following established guidelines. Ensures safety of children at all times.
8. Follows the Code of Ethical Conduct as established by the NAEYC.
