The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Temporary Admissions Specialist for our Trinity Health Clinic. The schedule for this position is on an as needed basis.

JOB SUMMARY:

Update patient information (including Alternate Resource information). Assist patients in obtaining a State or Federal program for an Alternate Resource. Complete all forms through scheduled appointments and walk-ins. No supervisory responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior data entry experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

  • Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Verify Alternate Resources/Eligibility.
2. Assists patients in completing an Alternate Resource application.
3. Gather information from the patient to complete Alternate Resource filing and/or registration.
4. Update patient file with personal information or Alternate Resource information by appointment or walk-in.
5. Check in all patients, update address, phone number, and alternate resource status, identifying eligibility status, and obtaining treatment authorization signature.
6. Register patients by appointments or walk-ins.
7. Scan and retrieve registration documents.
8. Schedule appointments by telephone or in person, following established appointment time/diagnosis guidelines.
9. Answer all telephone calls to the medical reception area promptly and courteously.
10. Screen and route all calls to the appropriate departments, taking messages to ensure accuracy and provide documentation of content.
11. Attend training as requested by supervisor.
12. Ability to identify forms required for registration purposes
13. Document scan and maintain medical record information.
14. Comply with HIPAA regulations.

Temporary ECE Teacher Assistant

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Temporary ECE Teacher Assistant. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 12:00pm-5:30pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist ECE Teachers with the supervision of classroom and playground activities and field trips. Help plan, organize and deliver age appropriate learning activities. Major emphasis is on developmentally appropriate practices, safety and positive classroom management.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Must have or obtain within 6 months:
    o California Child Development Assistant Permit (for more information see: www.ctc.ca.gov)
    o Must have CDA credential or an AA or BA degree in ECE (or equivalent with ECE units)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum that advances all areas of children’s learning and development, including social, emotional, intellectual, and physical competence.
2. Assist in preparing weekly lesson plans, noting goals and objectives.
3. Assist in observations of individual children in the group setting; refer to the Staff Team any children with special needs such as developmental delay or disability, speech impairments, attention deficit disorder, inappropriate anger, etc.
4. Support the development and learning of individual children, recognizing that children are best understood in the context of family, culture, and society; include weekly Native American cultural activities in weekly curriculum.
5. Assist in maintaining required records such as: attendance records, meal counts, weekly lesson plans, child observations and corresponding individualization’s, etc.
6. Cultivate and maintain a positive professional working relationship with parents, other family members and/or childcare givers. Encourage and facilitate regular two-way communication.
7. Attends workshops and training events as assigned.
8. Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
9. Respond proactively to children’s absences and/or account for children at all times.
10. Understands and implements safety rules, emergency procedures, and established policies, etc.
11. As mandated, identify and report suspected child abuse to proper authorities following established guidelines. Ensures safety of children at all times.
12. Assist in parent orientation as is relates to classroom schedule, classroom management and forms of discipline.
13. Monitor children on the bus during transportation.
14. Follows the Code of Ethical Conduct as established by the NAEYC.
15. Assists in using Zono machine on a regular cleaning schedule. More often during cold and flu season.

Temporary Temperature Screener

Redding Rancheria is currently seeking individuals to assist with ensuring compliance for access to our medical facilities.  The screener is responsible for the daily health screening, which includes taking temperatures, of all staff, physicians, patients and visitors prior to entering our health campuses to minimize risk of infection and spread of disease. The Screener must complete specialized training on first day of work and comply with all safety precautions set in place to ensure the screeners and individuals being screened are entering or working in a minimal risk environment. Screeners will be provided in depth training on screening procedure and best practices as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to assist with employee, patient and visitor safety.

Licensed Therapist – Part-Time

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Temporary Licensed Therapist (Part-time) for the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Licensed Therapist is licensed/certified independently to provide direct Mental Health and Chemical Dependency services in an outpatient medical setting to Native Americans residing in the eastern half of Trinity County and the western two-thirds of Shasta county who have mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. This provider will conduct mental health intakes, substance abuse assessments, individual, family and group treatment and Integrative/crisis services to patients and their families. Responsibilities also include serving as a consultant for program services to Redding Rancheria staff and community, and working to increase the understanding of individual and community behavioral health issues and service delivery. This position is under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Director.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy , or a Master’s degree in Social Work
  • Must be currently licensed in good standing to practice as an independent Marriage and Family Therapist, or independent LCSW
  • Must pass background assessment of moral character and legal status. Must submit to fingerprint identification with law enforcement and be able to work with children.
  • Must demonstrate emotional stability, independent judgment, and initiative in professional activities and relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Valid California Driver’s license. Individual must be insurable by Tribe’s automobile insurer.
  • Position requires occasional overnight travel.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide mental health and substance abuse assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, provide case management, referral and coordination with other allied professionals and treatment providers, including medical providers, psychiatrists, Tribal Child and Family Services, school IEP coordinators, courts, and other community based agencies.
  • Have a functional understanding of DSM-5 psychiatric disorders, psychoactive medications, brain physiology and demonstrate a working knowledge of various theoretical models of psychotherapy, including brief therapy, behavioral counseling, substance abuse and other culturally relevant forms of treatment.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate group therapy sessions for targeted client groups, such as adolescents, elders, trauma or abuse survivors, addictive behaviors, anger management, grief and/or support groups. Work with community to effectively advertise and recruit for group services.
  • Maintain electronic and other records in accordance with requirements of state, tribal, federal laws and clinic policy. Accurately complete all assessments, daily progress notes and client file documents within the required timeframe and provide them to the clinic, courts, probation and referral sources as appropriate and within HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide interpersonal support and problem solving assistance to individuals and families in need of services. Provide prevention, relapse prevention, education and follow-up information on mental health and substance abuse to individuals and families in our service area.
  • Provide consultation, training and technical assistance as requested to other departments and tribal entities. Assist with organizing staff and community activities that help the tribe respond to local human service and behavioral health needs in the interest of efficiency and responsiveness of services.
  • Respond promptly to requests from staff for support in crisis situations within the clinic or the tribal community. Practice appropriate crisis intervention skills. In conjunction with other members of the Behavioral Health Department and local human service providers, develop preparedness plans for responding to crisis situations within Shasta County. Refer individuals for follow-up as needed.
  • Participate as a team member of Redding Rancheria by actively participating in tribal and clinic meetings, and collaborating with varied departments to facilitate the most effective provision of services to beneficiaries. Develop a positive working environment by treating clinic and tribal staff members with respect and courtesy. Exercise sound judgment with problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Encourage others to achieve high levels of quality and successful working relationships. Promote team effectiveness, promoting trust, commitment and tribal pride.
  • Participate in supervision with the Behavioral Health Director to maintain quality of care and services, as needed. Participate in weekly Behavioral Health Department staff meetings/group supervision. Evaluate progress in an ongoing manner to include evaluation of employee’s own issues, such as counter-transference.
  • Possess and seek an ongoing fundamental understanding of Native American culture and local Native American communities. Maintain high quality work and patient care and provision of all services in a culturally competent and sensitive manner.
  • Obtain and/or maintain in good standing professional license and comply with continuing education requirements per applicable California licensing authority.
  • Proactively problem solve with supervisor appropriate time management and logistic strategies for working hours. Assist with program evaluations as requested. Complete timesheets, travel requests and trip reports, email responses and other projects as assigned in a timely manner. Use time effectively. Keep appointments and be at work and at meetings on time.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Behavioral Health Director.
