JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Verify Alternate Resources/Eligibility.
  2. Assists patients in completing an Alternate Resource application.
  3. Gather information from the patient to complete Alternate Resource filing and/or registration.
  4. Update patient file with personal information or Alternate Resource information by appointment or walk-in.
  5. Check in all patients, update address, phone number, and alternate resource status, identifying eligibility status, and obtaining treatment authorization signature.
  6. Register patients by appointments or walk-ins.
  7. Scan and retrieve registration documents.
  8. Schedule appointments by telephone or in person, following established appointment time/diagnosis guidelines.
  9. Answer all telephone calls to the medical reception area promptly and courteously.
  10. Screen and route all calls to the appropriate departments, taking messages to ensure accuracy and provide documentation of content.
  11. Attend training as requested by supervisor.
  12. Ability to identify forms required for registration purposes
  13. Document scan and maintain medical record information.
  14. Comply with HIPAA regulations.

Information Services Generalist

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Information Services Generalist. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Information Services Generalist’s role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing inventory for Information Services equipment, process and track IT-related invoices and monthly charges, conducting new employee orientations, tracking service contracts and warranties for the Redding Rancheria Information Services Department, creating, and maintaining information services policies and procedures. The Information Services Generalist also monitors and manages incoming Helpdesk services tickets to provide support for Redding Rancheria end users.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or 4 years equivalent work experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Monitor helpdesk system to ensure SLAs are being met and follow up with applicable IT personnel to ensure helpdesk tickets are properly documented and completed within SLA.
2. Perform maintenance on Helpdesk system to ensure software is current with correct service category’s, service locations and other applicable information to ensure proper routing of service tickets.
3. Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
4. Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.

8. Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
9. Maintain and enhance performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.
10. Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization.
11. Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental application training needs and objectives.
12. Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes.
13. Post software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in problem resolution.
14. Perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus software, and so on.
15. Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
16. Track and process Information Services bills and ensure appropriate services maintain active service contracts.
17. Track and ensure all Redding Rancheria Information Services equipment is current on applicable service contracts.
18. Maintain an up to date inventory of all Redding Rancheria IS equipment.
19. Maintain training materials for incoming Redding Rancheria Employees as well as deliver the New Employee training for information services.

17. Verify and send appointments reminders daily through the Patient Portal Software.

Medical Data & Referrals Specialist

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Medical Data & Referrals Specialist. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinate referrals from Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Systems to other health care providers for patient care that is not performed at the Health Center. Referrals are made to providers such as physicians, diagnostic facilities, radiology, laboratories, and hospitals.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with pre-authorization process for 3rd Party payers.
  • Medical Terminology.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.
  • Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Receive referrals/requests from providers through the EHR and schedule outside care as indicated.
2. Provide information to patients regarding referral provider name, address and phone number to allow patients to call to schedule appointment. Acquire pertinent records, labs, x-rays, diagnostic tests and health summaries related to the patient’s current condition from the medical records; forward information to the specialist or facility involved.
3. Enter referral data, and insurance information into EHR.
4. Track all referrals sent out to ensure completion of care and receipt of related documentation using SQL reports.
5. Maintain all required data in the EHR to comply with clinic, state and federal mandates.
6. Request medical records/other additional information from outside healthcare facilities.
7. Respond to authorized requests for information by outside healthcare facilities.
8. Receive outside records and scan to appropriate EHR patient file.
9. Scan all ‘in house’ forms and documents to the appropriate EHR patient file.
10. Track all stored historical paper charts and shred as per policy as they time out. Perform other related duties as needed.
