JOB SUMMARY:

Directly responsible for the review and audit of all prepared accounts payable batches, journal entries, grant fund tracking, reporting and reconciliations, preparation of tax filing and reporting documents for review. Must have a thorough knowledge Redding Rancheria financial policies, and the ability to solve complex problems. Serves as primary backup of Grant Analyst, Accountant II-Payroll Specialist and Banking Specialist, Account I-Accounts Payable and Purchasing Specialist.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with MIP accounting software a plus.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting environment; accounting experience in a governmental environment preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Works with the Assistant Controller and Controller in the month-end process by preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  2. Maintains accounting systems, records and ensures that all appropriate entries, journals and records are accurate and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  3. Assists with tracking and maintaining of all grant funding and reporting as required.
  4. Facilitate review and reporting practices in support of reporting cycles and deadlines.
  5. Keep current on grant compliance requirements and reporting.
  6. Reviews and helps to prepare supporting documentation for grant activity.
  7. Prepare draw requests and maintains records of awards and receipts related to grants, contracts and compacts for review
  8. Manage tribes’ grants and contracts to assure compliance with federal regulations
  9. Prepares the monthly investment journal entry for review
  10. Reconciles and prepares required tax reporting, including state, federal and county requirements for payroll and personal property for review.
  11. Perform and/or review any of the following accounting tasks: accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and procurement, payroll, and cash management.
  12. Perform general accounting and financial reporting functions as required for management and external reporting sources.
  13. Responsible for the monthly preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting schedules, as required.
  14. Prepares and maintains fixed assets and depreciation schedules as required.
  15. Manage confidential information in a secure, discreet and professional manner.
  16. Apply analytical skills and maintain organization.
  17. Follow general accounting principles of governmental accounting.

Education Director

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Program Services, incumbent is responsible for all programs under the Education department including: Head Start, Child Care, Youth Leadership and Enrichment Activities, The Scholarship Program, The Community Education Fund, Student Achievement, , Tutoring, Johnson O’Malley, and the School Clothing benefits program.. This includes staff supervision and the organization implementation of activities procedures that assure an efficient program and a safe environment for both children and staff. Responsible for fiscal and budgetary accountability and compliance with all state, federal and tribal guidelines and regulations. Secure program funding through the research of potential grant programs, tribal funding, and assist in writing grant proposals.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. This position requires a successful applicant to have control of, or significant contact with, a child or children. Therefore, federal law requires all applicants be subjected to a thorough criminal background investigation including a character assessment. The criminal background check will include state, federal, and tribal criminal justice reporting as well child protective services reporting. 6. Prepare and submit the annual JOM student count to the BIE.

7. Seek out and collaborate with vendors to create and purchase sashes and necklaces for 8th grade, 12th grade, and adult graduates.

9. Coordinate the annual tribal Youth Christmas Party: purchase presents, raffle items, and mail out-of-town youth checks.

24. Ensure that relevant councils and committees are organized and facilitated. Serve as staff support as needed. Provide in-service training as needed regarding their roles, responsibilities, and authority.

Responsible for managing/administering all aspects of the Tribal Enrollment Department working with general membership and outside entities. Supervises Community Services Manager, Community Services Coordinator, Family and Children Services Caseworker, Family and Children Services Social Worker, File Clerk, Education Director, Cultural Resources Program Manager, Senior Nutrition Manager and Administrative Assistant I.

  9. Member of the Redding Rancheria Leadership Development Team and the Senior Management Team.
  10. Oversees family and children services department caseloads from the first petition through the closure of a case including: complaints, filings of petitions, case management, active efforts of the department, home visits, services and family reunification.
  11. Oversees the Senior Nutrition Program and ensures compliance with Title VI, health and safety requirements, and that healthy meals and activities are provided to support elders in the program.
  12. Ensures the NAHASDA housing program is in compliance with all regulations.
  13. Responsible for meeting with the Tribal Judge and Executives on a quarterly basis to discuss tribal court concerns.
  14. Responsible for meeting monthly with the Legal Department and Family and Children Services department regarding the current caseload.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Gaming Information Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining surveillance and gaming systems within the Tribal Gaming Agency. This role focuses on ensuring the security, integrity, and efficiency of systems to support regulatory compliance. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, integrate, and optimize surveillance technologies to enhance the overall safety and performance of the Gaming Department’s environment while adhering to Tribal Regulations and industry standards.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science OR five to ten years of network and systems experience.
  • Minimum one year Low Voltage, Surveillance Technical, Information Technology or related experience required.
