JOB SUMMARY:

Under direction of the Public Works Director, the Maintenance Superintendent plans and organizes the operations and maintenance for the Public Works Department.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Plans, organizes, evaluates and administers all programs and projects within the scope of the Public Works Department, including housing, water, roads, transportation services, Tribal government facilities and grounds and vehicle maintenance.

2. Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the performance of assigned staff; establishes performance requirements and personal development targets; makes decisions on compensation and other rewards to recognize performance; takes disciplinary action, up to and including termination, to address performance deficiencies, in accordance with Redding Rancheria personnel rules and policies.

3. Order supplies and services from suppliers as needed.

4. Plan, organize and direct the operations and activities of the Public Works maintenance and operation effort.

5. Assist in the development of goals and implement activities to attain goals, objectives and administer Public Works policies.

6. Take an active role in recommending the selection, promotion and discipline of Public Works employees.

7. Handle and resolve complaints concerning Public Works activities.

8. Periodically inspect Public Works-related structures for deficiencies and recommend corrective action and priorities of work.

9. Prepare plans, diagrams, and specifications for maintenance projects.

10. Insure that an adequate inventory of materials, supplies, parts and equipment for the Public Works department is available at all times.

11. Direct the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and vehicles, including the development of preventative maintenance schedules.

12. Work with the Public Works Safety Coordinator to direct the installation and maintenance of work safety measures.

13. Uses independent judgement and initiative to evaluate costs, conditions, and deficiencies of all tribal facilities.

14. Work on, manage and prepare budgets for projects and administration.

15. Custodian of Redding Rancheria grounds and facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience of increasing responsibility working in a maintenance department
  2. A valid Class C California driver’s license.

Computer Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

The Computer Technician’s role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Program Services, incumbent is responsible for all programs under the Education department including: Head Start, Child Care, Youth Leadership and Enrichment Activities, The Scholarship Program, The Community Education Fund, Student Achievement, , Tutoring, Johnson O’Malley, and the School Clothing benefits program.. This includes staff supervision and the organization implementation of activities procedures that assure an efficient program and a safe environment for both children and staff. Responsible for fiscal and budgetary accountability and compliance with all state, federal and tribal guidelines and regulations. Secure program funding through the research of potential grant programs, tribal funding, and assist in writing grant proposals.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. This position requires a successful applicant to have control of, or significant contact with, a child or children. Therefore, federal law requires all applicants be subjected to a thorough criminal background investigation including a character assessment. The criminal background check will include state, federal, and tribal criminal justice reporting as well child protective services reporting. Compliance Officer I

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Compliance Officer I. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Develop, implement and maintain an independent audit for review of Gaming
Operations utilizing the current audit procedures manual. This position will administer an Audit Plan to evaluate compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will be responsible for the review and investigation of any and all incident reports from security and/or surveillance.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is preferred
  • Must have knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission Internal Controls.
  • Redding Rancheria Gaming Ordinance Tribal/State Compact.
  • Heavy reading and report writing skills.
  • ABC Laws and regulations.
  • Position requires periods of frequent walking, observing and assessing activities of the Casino.
  • Position requires period of sitting and standing.

1. Develop, implement and maintain an independent Audit Program for the Gaming Commission’s Compliance Audit Plan utilizing the current audit procedures manual.
2. Select, verify and analyze transactions for audit projects based on defined criteria.
