JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Human Resources, performs a variety of office support and/or secretarial duties for the Human Resources Department. Incumbent will compose and process a variety of standard documents and correspondence, replaying telephone inquiries, process forms, draft Human Resources communications, and properly filing, maintaining, and retrieving all personnel files.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must possess a valid and current CDL.
  2. 1 to 3 years of clerical experience.
  3. Computer skills and experience with a variety of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  4. Demonstrated typing skills of 30-40 wpm or more and the ability to operate office equipment

  1. Assist Senior Director of Human Resources with all manners of administrative support.

  5. Assists in writing communications for the HR department, such as drafting email communications to all staff.

  7. Keep record of all signed Human Resources contracts, both digital and physical.
  8. Maintain file retrieval system (Hemsted) and process requests regarding retrieval, pick-up and shred for the Tribal Office.
  9. Serves as relief to the Tribal Receptionist performing all duties and responsibilities assigned to that position.
  10. Review, respond and maintain the Human Resources email.
  11. Assist in coordinating events and helping during department events.
  12. Sort, screen, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail related to the Human Resources Department. Assist Senior Director with preparation of and organization of annual reviews.
  13. Processes Employee Recognitions.
  14. Oversees Employee of the Month nominations, awards, and coordination of notification.
  15. Facilitates New Employee Breakfasts.
  16. Assists Senior Director with power point presentations.
  17. Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  18. Sets up Zoom meetings for Senior Director.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide a wide variety of complex secretarial and administrative support for Education Director and department programs.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have High School diploma or equivalent i.e. (GED) or experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in Native American education programs.
  3. Must be fingerprinted, pass background check, drug test and DMV clearance, including valid CDL.
  4. Indian Preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Assist the Education Director in all manners of administrative support to include maintaining calendar of meetings, appointments, and distributing individual task lists to co-staff for education events.

2. Responsible for the youth and adult tutoring program, including: ensuring potential tutors pass the level 4 background check, executing tutoring contracts and circulating for approval, processing tutoring time sheets and ensuring accuracy, making payments for tutoring services either directly or by way of reimbursement.

3. Responsible for processing report cards using the quarter, trimester and semester point systems and providing incentive checks to all school aged tribal member children.

4. Work alongside the Education Director to coordinate youth leadership sessions including scheduling rooms and session leaders, paying for services, ordering meals, purchasing supplies for each session and tracking student participation.

5. Works alongside the Youth Advocate to determine themes and décor for all educational events.

6. Responsible for assigned clerical/secretarial duties. i.e. – Doc Star, copying, filing, sorting, compose flyers for mailing regarding trips/educational workshops/career opportunities, purchase inventory, order supplies, etc.

7. Assist Education Director and Advocates with coordinating events for all education programs and events as assigned, such as but not limited to monthly youth activities, the annual youth Christmas party, education banquet, the 12-month youth leadership program, college prep, etc.

8. Responsible for input and upkeep of the departments tribal member database and project management database.

9. Record, prepare and maintain records of minutes for meetings such as departmental and committee.

10. Write up and submit in a timely manner a newsletter article for each education event/session as well as including photos for those articles. Take photos at each education event/session.

11. Assist in researching information for administrative reports and educational opportunities.

12. Assist Education Director in reviewing and monitoring budgets for Education Programs.

13. Assist with Johnson O’Malley School Supply Assistance intake process for applications as well as calling families to pick up gift cards.

14. Assist Education Director with Redding Rancheria Community Education Fund scholarship application process, interview scheduling with Council Committee, processing of payment to schools, etc.

15. Work with Education Director on policies and procedures for department.

16. Track, maintain and monitor department strategic planning goals and log sheets for department programs and individual student files with Education Director.

17. As mandated, identify and report suspected child abuse to proper authorities following established guidelines. Ensures safety of children at all times during department events/sessions.

18. Crosstrain in all areas of the Education Department.

19. Provide coverage to co-staff when necessary

20. Collect and organize information about students in order to develop and implement future changes to tribal educational programs.

21. Identify and select at risk students and work with them and/or their parents to create academic goals.

22. Inform and encourage tribal youth and adults about career and educational opportunities within the Redding Rancheria and its entities.

23. Research Tribal and community services for referral. Research training and conferences that motivate students to do better in school and help keep interests and attitudes high.

ESENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Research and identify grant funding opportunities for the Redding Rancheria and its entities to obtain funding for existing programs and new programs.
  2. Adhering to grant deadlines for grant applications.
  3. Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization.
  4. Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
  5. Respond to internal and external quires on drafted and submitted proposals.
  6. Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
  7. Maintain records of all grant proposals, documents, submissions, etc.
  8. Maintain and submit grant reports in a timely manner, according to grant requirements.
  9. Conduct interviews with key employees in the organization and perform comprehensive research to complete grant project applications or required reports.
  10. Write compelling grant applications that display meticulous grammar and spelling.
  11. Displays adherence to the Tribe’s mission.

Computer Technician Supervisor

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Computer Technician Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Computer Technician Supervisor role is to deliver support to end users by monitoring Help Desk software and ensuring trouble tickets are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner. The Computer Technician Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing Computer Technicians and insure in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals are being appropriately supported and maintained as well as other duties expected of the Computer Technician position. This position will report to the Information Services Manager with regular updates.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma or university degree, or 4 years equivalent work experience.
  •  COMPTIA A+, NETWORK+ certifications required.
  •  Microsoft MCSA (any focus) within one year.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors the problem to insure a timely resolution.
  •  Maintain IT and AV Hardware and/or Software inventory and make monthly reports.
  •  Perform preventative maintenance on computer systems including printers and other peripherals as scheduled. Inspects equipment for defects and repairs or replace parts. Maintains audiovisual equipment in working condition.
  •  Registers hardware and software for warranty purposes.
  •  Responds to trouble calls on all IT and AV request in a timely manner with limited supervision.
  •  Train personnel in operation of computer software and hardware. Train personnel in operation of audiovisual equipment.
  •  Assists in the installation of network, power, AV, and phone cables.

Accountant I- Purchasing Specialist

Redding Rancheria is seeking an Accountant I- Purchasing Specialist.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Controller this position performs a variety of accounting support functions for the Redding Rancheria Tribal Government Finance Department. Performs all duties associated with the purchasing cycle and is responsible for ordering and tracking of packages and inventory of assets. Interacts with staff, Tribal Members, and vendors on a daily basis for the Redding Rancheria and serves as the primary backup to the Accountant I-Accounts Payable Specialist.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 year degree in accounting or a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar accounting positions.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Indian preference

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform any of the following accounting tasks: accounts payable, purchasing and procurement.
  •  Date stamps and reviews all purchase orders and attached invoices for completion, including appropriate account coding, proper signing authority, and dollar amount approved for the Redding Rancheria.
  •  Researches and/or obtains best pricing for products requested on purchase orders
  •  Works with purchase order requester to ensure appropriate items, quantities, and shipment terms are met
  •  Acts as a liaison between approved signers and vendors in settling discrepancies with invoicing, payment, and/or product received
  •  Responsible for, manages, reconciles, and processes account and credit card orders for goods and services through phone, email, and internet order as requested by receipt of approved purchase order.
  •  Matches receiving documents with invoices from vendors and handles all discrepancies prior to forwarding to Accounts Payable for processing
