The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Maintenance Worker.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides Journey Level maintenance for all Tribal facilities, in a variety of areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- 1. Provide preventive maintenance on all Tribal facilities, to include:
- 2. Perform minor maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and machinery and to buildings and facilities, including painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing or electrical power.
- 3. Maintain Landscaping and road upkeep.
- 4. Maintain building interiors (e.g., floor coverings, wall patching/painting, minor plumbing, etc.) and exteriors (e.g., gutter cleaning/repair, changing filters/vents, wall patching/painting, etc.)
- 5. Perform furniture upkeep/repair.
- 6. Custodian of Redding Rancheria grounds and facilities.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of equipment, materials and tools used in the tasks and duties required.
- Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time.
- Ability to lift arm above shoulder level.
- Ability to climb ladders or steps.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, vendors and the public.
- Ability to move objects weighing 50 pounds short and long distances.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions with exposure to the elements, dust, and extreme heat and cold temperatures.
- Ability to use and interpret graphic instructions, such as blueprints, schematic drawings, and penciled layouts to perform maintenance or special projects.
- Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, project management and/or building trades.
- Valid California Drivers license.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be fingerprinted and submit to background screening.
- Indian preference.
