Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide Journey level maintenance for all Tribal facilities & properties. Supervises maintenance and custodial personnel including performance review, work order management and building effective people capability.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a maintenance department.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Must be fingerprinted and submit to background screening.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide preventive maintenance on all Tribal Facilities.
2. Manage Public Works Maintenance and custodial staff, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.
3. Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train employees and ensure employee competence for the tasks they are performing.
4. Perform evaluations and performance review for personnel under authority.
5. Perform minor maintenance repairs on plumbing, electrical equipment & building.
6. Maintain road’s & properties.
7. Maintain building interiors/exteriors to include; painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, gutters, lighting, etc.
8. Responsible for routine staff management of time cards.
9. Inventory management including stock & ordering supplies.
10. Work with Public Works Safety Coordinator to direct the installation and maintenance of work safety measures. Ensure work is carried out in compliance with Health/Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
11. Prepare plans crew for maintenance projects.
12. Custodian of all Redding Rancheria facilities and properties including inspection, resolving complaints and building improvements.
