The Caseworker will assist and provide Indian clients comprehensive community, social, and pro-family services to promote stability in households. The Caseworker will also provide direct services to at-risk families as well as families ordered by the Tribal Court into reunification services or services designed to prevent out-of-home placement of Indian child. The Caseworker will recruit and facilitate appropriate foster homes from Tribal Member children in need of care.
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- BA degree preferred and/or at least 3-5 year work experience in this field.
- Three years current work experience in Indian related community social services functions desired.
- California Driver’s license required.
- Ability to work in high pressure, stressful situations with clients who may have mental health, domestic violence or substance abuse issues.
- This position involves regular contact and/or control over minor children, as a result, a person who has been found criminally or civilly responsible for the abuse or neglect of a child, by any court, will not be eligible for employment in this position
- Must be willing to submit to background check and fingerprinting.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Indian preference.
