The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Administrative Assistant II.
JOB SUMMARY:
Works under the direction of the Medical Director to perform a variety of office support including assisting the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center (RRTHC) health care providers with standard documents and correspondence, relaying telephone inquiries, scheduling calendar items, meetings, processing forms and data entry. Position requires a working knowledge and ability to utilize the EMR/ EHR, EPM, and i2i Tracks.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification as Medical Assistant.
- Basic typing and computer skills and ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Be dependable, reliable and possess organizational skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology/procedures, human anatomy and medical law/ethics.
- CPR certification required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Indian preference.
- Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the Medical Department Management Team to foster cooperation, shared vision and decision making with a team approach to problem solving.
- Assist the medical director in all manners of administrative support.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload assignments.
- Ability to provide information and guidance in regards to Redding Rancheria personnel, RRTHC departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain and process requests regarding retrieval, pick-up and shredding of documents.
- Create, edit or proof correspondence or reports in support of the department activities.
- Set up and coordinate meetings, appointments and training’s for Medical staff.
- Maintains records of meeting minutes and assists with maintenance of accreditation for the medical department.
- Performs a wide variety of assignments which are sometimes confidential in nature; operates personal computer to enter data, draft, edit, revise and print letters, tables, reports, and other materials.
- Sort, screen and distribute incoming and outgoing mail related to Medical Director.
- Adheres to the guiding values of the Redding Rancheria with regards to ethics and professionalism, quality assurance/improvements, patient satisfaction and collaboration with peers.
- Assists with all aspects of patient care when needed.
- Determine and initiate training for the medical staff, i.e. CPR and Safety trainings.
- Help manage i2i Tracks data.
- Help process medication prior authorization.
- Cancer Detection Program Coordinator – Entering in all WAP/PAP data into the website.
- Lead Level tracking – Reporting all Lead Levels to the State.
- Credentialing and Licensing for RRTHC – Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy. Making sure all license are kept up to date including DEA. Keeping Council for Affordable Quality Act up to date. Keeping National Provider Identifier up to date.
- Rotations Coordinator – Mercy and Shasta Community Health Center. We have contracts with Toro and Western University to accept their students as well.
- Coordinate travel for CEU’s for all physicians/maintain certificates.
- Make sure all membership dues for all physicians are paid. Including Aramark, Smoking Cessation, J&J Transcribe, and any contract provider.
- Maintaining the physicians schedule and time off requests.
