Maintenance Worker

Redding Rancheria is seeking a Maintenance Worker. This position provides Journey Level maintenance for all Tribal facilities, in a variety of areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Provide preventive maintenance on all Tribal facilities, to include:
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and machinery and to buildings and facilities, including painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing or electrical power.
  • Maintain Landscaping and road upkeep.
  • Maintain building interiors (e.g., floor coverings, wall patching/painting, minor plumbing, etc.) and exteriors (e.g., gutter cleaning/repair, changing filters/vents, wall patching/painting, etc.)
  • Perform furniture upkeep/repair.
  • Custodian of Redding Rancheria grounds and facilities.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of equipment, materials and tools used in the tasks and duties required.
  • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time.
  • Ability to lift arm above shoulder level.
  • Ability to climb ladders or steps.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, vendors and the public.
  • Ability to move objects weighing 50 pounds short and long distances.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions with exposure to the elements, dust, and extreme heat and cold temperatures.

EPA Water Technician

EPA Manager

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Public Works, develops and implements environmental health policies, procedures and systems to monitor, follow up, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and sound safety and health practices.  Performs technical measurements of potential environmental pollutants, research and evaluation of Redding Rancheria environmental health issues; conducts related educational and training presentations.

 Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in the field of ground or surface water, air, or soils management.
  • Valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record and be insurable by Redding Rancheria’s insurance company.
