The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Admissions Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises the day-to-day patient admissions, access operations, and staff responsible for required registration, and patient intake process.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience with pre-authorization process for 3rd Party payers
  • Medical Terminology
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be fingerprinted and pass background check
  • Indian preference

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a health clinic environment with limited mobility in department. Position requires the ability to bend, twist, and kneel as well as apply a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally move about the facility. Requires repetitive hand movements associated with keyboarding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, schedules, and supervises Admissions Specialist and Clinic Reception Clerks
  • Perform appropriate rewards, evaluations and disciplinary actions in a consistent manner following policy
  •  Train staff on proper work procedures, understanding and following both Federal and State Regulations
  • Manage the intake, admissions, and utilization process for incoming patients
  • Process admissions calls, verify insurance, and assist with alternate resources as applicable
  •  Monitors operational metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, or correct problems
  • Be familiar with HIPAA and other federal and state regulations relating to patient files, medical records and patient registration, including Indian verification
  • Responsible for effective coordination between clinical and administrative teams to improve workflow, patient care, and productivity
  • Attend training as requested by supervisor
