Financial Analyst – Trust

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Financial Analyst – Trust. The preferred schedule for this position is full time.

The listed wage reflects the entry-level rate for this position. Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, education, and qualifications.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, will administer, evaluate, or manage financial activities involving Redding Rancheria Trust Funds in accordance with applicable policies. Plans and conducts analysis to improve the operational and effectiveness of the administration of the trust funds.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration or related field required. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited college or university preferred.
  2. 7 years of progressive professional experience in a staff capacity participating in research, study and analysis of management, budget, organizational and/or procedural strategies.
  3. Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing required.
  4. Must be a problem solver, a team player, and posses the ability to thrive in a sovereign Tribal organization.
  5. Experience with Excel or similar financial software product.
  6. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  7. Indian preference.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Administer the trusts and all related policy developments and changes.
  2. Coordination of Trust election / distribution processes.
  3. Management of all Trust related General Welfare programs.
  4. Monthly reconciliation and posting of all distributions.
  5. Record and track program activity.
  6. Develop and manage process, schedule, forms, etc.
  7. Schedule and manage tribal member education.
  8. Ensure quarterly statements are distributed.
  9. Ensure program compliance.
  10. Work with the Tribe’s internal and external legal experts and financial advisors to interpret policies.
